What Are User Seats?
A user seat is one team member with access to your Vivreal Group. Each plan includes a set number of seats — add more by upgrading.
Seats per tier
Seat limits are hard — when you hit your cap, new invitations are blocked until you upgrade or remove a member.
- Free: 1 seat (solo use)
- Basic ($19/mo): 5 seats
- Pro ($59/mo): 10 seats
- Pro Plus ($119/mo): 25 seats
- Enterprise: Unlimited
Roles control access
Every seat has one of three roles that determine what the member can do.
- Owner — full access: billing, tier changes, destructive actions, member management
- Admin — content, sites, integrations, member invites (no billing)
- Member — view-only: can see content but cannot create, edit, or delete
Independent from content limits
Seat limits are separate from VivRecords, integrations, and media quotas — scale your team and content independently.
- Adding a seat doesn't consume VivRecords or media storage
- Removing a user frees the seat immediately
- Users can belong to multiple Groups (each Group tracks seats independently)
How seat tracking works
Seat usage is tracked on the Group document and enforced when inviting new members.
- userSeats.totalSize tracks current active members
- userSeats.quota set by tier (updated on plan change)
- Invite blocked if totalSize >= quota
- Usage visible in Group dashboard alongside other quotas
