Deleting a Content Type
You cannot delete a content type while it still holds items. Vivreal stops you and says:
Delete the items inside this first.
That is deliberate. It means the feared version of this, where a part of your site suddenly goes blank because a list vanished underneath it, cannot happen by accident.
So deleting a content type is a two step job: empty it, then delete it.
1. Empty the content type
Open Content, find the content type you want to remove, and open its Items. Delete the items inside it, or move anything you want to keep somewhere else first.
Archiving is not the same as emptying
An archived item is still an item, and it still blocks the delete. If you have archived everything inside a content type and Vivreal still says "Delete the items inside this first", archived items are why. They have to be deleted, not archived.
2. Delete the content type
With nothing left inside it, open the content type again and choose Delete. Vivreal confirms with:
Content type deleted
If you are not sure you want to lose it
You do not have to delete a content type to stop using it. Leaving it in place costs you nothing beyond the items it holds counting toward your plan's entries, and it means you can pick it back up later with everything still in it. Usage Tracking shows where your entries stand.
