Publish Your First Site
By the end of this you will have a real website on the internet, built from content you manage in Vivreal, and you will have watched a change you make appear on it.
About five minutes, most of which is waiting.
Before you start
- A Vivreal account with a group
- Nothing else. A designed kit comes with its own pages and ready-made entries, so you have something real to publish even before you have written a word
1. Open Sites
Go to Sites. If this is your first, you get a prompt to create one.
2. Create the site
You are asked for three things.
What kind of business it is. Pick a designed kit if one fits your business. A kit comes with the pages and ready-made content that kind of business needs, which is exactly what you want for a first site. See Choosing a template.
A look. Kits come in one or more looks, each with a preview. Pick the one that feels like your business.
A name. As you type, Vivreal shows the web address it becomes and checks that it is available.
Tap Create my site, and Vivreal gets to work.
Starting blank instead?
Start blank is always there too, but it creates an empty site that is not on the web until you build pages and publish it yourself. For a first site, a kit gets you to something real much faster.
3. Wait a few minutes
The Sites page shows the status and updates itself. You can carry on working elsewhere in the portal, or close it entirely and come back.

There is no hosting for you to arrange
Vivreal handles all of it. You do not need an account with a hosting company, you will not be asked for a card for hosting, and there is nothing to configure.
4. Visit it
Once it says Live, tap the address to open your site.
It is a real website, on the real internet, that you can send to someone.
5. Change something and watch it update
This is the part worth doing, because it shows you how the whole thing works.
Go back to Content, open one of the items your kit created (a menu item, a show, whatever your site shows), change some wording, and save. Now refresh your site.
The change is there. Nothing was rebuilt and nothing was republished. Your site reads your content when a visitor arrives, so what you save is what they get.
That is why there is no publish button in Studio either.
If it fails
- Read the message on the Sites page first. It usually names the problem
- Try again from the site's settings
- Still stuck? Site not updating, or contact support

You cannot change the starting point later
The kit, the look and the hosting choice are fixed once a site is created. If you want a different one, create another site. Your content is separate, so a new site can use all of it, and you can delete the first once you are happy.
