Understand what groups are and how they form the foundation of your Vivreal workspace

In Vivreal, a group is your team workspace. Every piece of content, every site, and every integration you create belongs to a group. Think of it as your organization's home base within the platform.

What Is a Group?

A group is the top level of everything in Vivreal. When you sign up you create your first one. From there you invite team members, set up your content, publish sites and connect channels, all belonging to that group.

Each group is completely isolated from other groups. Your data, your content, and your settings are private to your team.

Group Structure

Every group has three key properties:

  • Name: a human-readable label for your team (e.g., "Acme Corp" or "My Blog").
  • Tier: your subscription level (Free, Basic, Pro, or Pro Plus), which determines your quotas and available features.
  • Owner: the user who created the group. Every group has exactly one owner.

Multi-Tenant Isolation

Vivreal uses a multi-tenant architecture where each group gets its own isolated database. This means:

  • Your content is never mixed with another group's data.
  • Performance in one group does not affect another.
  • Deleting a group removes all of its data completely.

The slug is what keeps your group's information separate from everyone else's behind the scenes. You set it once and never think about it again.

The Group Settings Page

You can manage your group from the Group page in the portal sidebar. From here you can:

  • View and edit your group name and settings
  • See your current tier and usage
  • Manage team members and their roles
  • Access audit logs (Admin and Owner only)
  • Configure billing and overage settings

Switching Between Groups

If you belong to more than one group, switch between them with the profile switcher in the top navigation. Each group is entirely separate, so when you switch, the dashboard, your content, your sites and your channels all change to that group's.
