How Vivreal organises the things you manage, like blog posts, products, and events

Your Content

Everything you manage in Vivreal lives under Content: your blog posts, your products, your team profiles, your menu, whatever your business needs to show.

How it is organised

You set up a content type for each kind of thing you manage. You give it a name, choose the fields it should have, then add the individual items.

Think of a spreadsheet. The content type is the row of column headers, and each item is one row underneath.

So you might set up a "Blog Posts" type with fields for title, body, author, and a photo. Every post you write is then one item of that type.

Each content type has:

  • A name, like "Blog Posts", "Products", or "Team Members"
  • A set of fields, which decide what you fill in each time
  • A type: standard or linked
  • Optional support for photos and files
  • Optional tags, for keeping things sorted

What people usually set up

What you are managingFields worth having
Blog or articlesTitle, body, author, publish date, photo, tags
ProductsName, description, price, photos, options, category
EventsTitle, date, location, description, sign-up link
Team membersName, role, short bio, headshot, social links
TestimonialsQuote, customer name, business, rating
FAQsQuestion, answer, category
Job postingsTitle, department, location, full or part time, description, apply link

You can set up as many content types as your plan allows. Start with one or two and add more as you go.

How this shows up on your website

Your website reads straight from your content. Change an item in Vivreal, save it, and your live site updates. You do not republish the site and you do not need anyone technical to do it for you.

Because the words and pictures are kept separate from the design, you can restyle your site later without retyping anything, and you can run more than one site off the same content.
