Choosing a Template
When you create a site, the first question is what kind of business is this? Your answer decides your starting point: a designed kit made for your kind of business, or a blank canvas.
Pick the closest match. Everything you start with can be changed later in Studio.
Designed kits
A kit is a complete site for one kind of business: the pages that business actually needs, a designed look, and ready-made content already in place, so you are editing real pages instead of staring at empty ones.
Each kit comes in one or more looks. A look is the same site with a different personality: different colours, type and layout. Every look shows a preview and how many pages and ready-made entries it starts you with. Pick the one that feels like your business.
Bakery
Menus, orders, and a warm first impression. Three looks:
| Look | Feel |
|---|---|
| Cobalt & Crumb | Warm and artisan, with a hand-lettered feel |
| The Old Mill Bakehouse | Heritage feel, like a well-set magazine |
| Butter & Bloom | Soft pastels, like the pastry case |
Musician
Releases, videos, tour dates, and merch in one place. One look today, MOTEL SATURN, a bold poster style, with more looks on the way.
More kits are coming
The shelf is growing, and new kits and looks appear in the picker as they are ready. If there is no kit for your kind of business yet, start blank and build the pages you need in Studio.
Start blank
Nothing at all: every page built by you in Studio.
Best for people with a clear picture in their head, who would find a starting point something to undo rather than something to edit.
A blank site is not on the web until you publish it, so you can take your time. See Setup modes.
How to pick
- Is there a kit for my kind of business? Take it, and pick the look that feels right. It comes with the pages that kind of business actually needs.
- No kit fits? Start blank and build the pages you need in Studio.
You do not need payments connected first
Nothing in the picker asks about payments. You simply cannot take money until you connect Stripe or Square, and you can do that whenever you like. See Selling online.
A starting point, not a cage
Everything a kit gives you can be changed in Studio: pages, wording, colours, photos, and which sections appear at all. Nobody is stuck with a layout because of what they picked on day one.
You can run more than one site
On a paid plan you can have several sites in one business, all drawing on the same content. See Plans and limits.
Improvements reach you
Kits are maintained by the Vivreal team. When we improve how sites are built, the improvement reaches sites that are already live. There is nothing for you to update, and your own edits are not overwritten.
