Your Site Dashboard
Every site has its own dashboard: how many people came, what they read, where they came from, what sold, and who signed up.
Open Sites and tap the site you want.
The tabs
| Tab | What is there |
|---|---|
| Overview | The state of the site at a glance |
| Traffic | Visitors, popular pages, and where they came from |
| Commerce | What is selling, and how payments are connected |
| Subscribers | People who signed up through your site |
| Domain | Your web address, see Custom domains |
| Business | Your business details as shown on the site |
| Settings | The rest of the site's options |
Traffic
This is Vivreal's own measurement, not Google Analytics. Your site counts its own visitors, and the numbers come straight back here with nothing to install and no separate account to set up.
It is also cookieless, meaning it does not follow people around between sites. It answers "how is my site doing", not "who is this person".
Pick a period at the top. It opens on the last 30 days.
On every plan, including free
| Number | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Page views | How many pages were opened in total |
| Top pages | Which pages people actually read |
| Top referrers | Where they came from, such as Instagram, Google, or a link on someone else's site |
Top referrers is the one most owners underuse. It tells you which of your efforts is actually sending people, which is usually not the one you expect.
On paid plans
| Number | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Unique visitors | How many separate people came, rather than total pages opened |
| Devices | Phone, tablet or computer |
| Countries | Where in the world they are |
Locked numbers show a dash, not a zero
On the free plan, unique visitors shows a dash. That means "not included on your plan", not "nobody came". Vivreal will not print a zero it cannot stand behind. See Plans and limits.
A brand new site has nothing to show yet
If the site has never been published, you get a pre-launch message rather than an empty dashboard, because an empty chart on a site that was never live just looks broken.
Once it is live, give it a few days. Traffic data only starts from the moment real people start arriving.
Commerce
Shows what this site is selling through and how it is doing.
Worth knowing: payments are set up once for your whole business, not per site. You can only have one payment provider active at a time, so if you run several sites they all sell through the same one. The tab is framed around this site because that is how you think about it, but the connection itself lives under Channels.
If nothing is connected yet, this tab offers to set it up. See Connect Stripe or Connect Square.
If your site came from an existing store
When a site is built from one that already took payments, Vivreal may spot which provider it used and leave a note here saying so. It has none of your details, it is just a reminder of where to pick up. Finish connecting it and your products come across.
Subscribers
People who signed up through this site: the email popup, or the newsletter box in your footer.
These are your own signups. They are not your Mailchimp audience, and connecting Mailchimp does not merge the two. If you want them in Mailchimp you move them across yourself.
If something is not working
- Traffic shows nothing. Check the site is actually live, then give it time. Nothing is counted before it is published.
- Unique visitors shows a dash. That number is on paid plans.
- Your numbers look lower than Google's. They measure different things and disagree by design. Vivreal counts people visiting your site without following them around. Use it for the trend rather than as an exact headcount.
- Sales are missing. Check a payment provider is connected under Channels.
Next steps
- Getting found by search and AI, for growing the traffic in the first place.
- Custom domains.
- Selling online.
