Post Did Not Go Out
A post was scheduled, the time came and went, and nothing appeared. Here is how to find out why.
1. Check the activity feed first
Your dashboard shows recent activity, and every entry carries a status:
- Published: it went out. Check the platform again, and check you are looking at the right account.
- Scheduled: it has not fired yet. Check the time and the time zone.
- Publishing: it is going out right now. Give it a moment.
- Failed: something went wrong. Keep reading.
- Draft: it was never scheduled at all. This is the most common one.
That status tells you which of the sections below you need.
2. Draft means it was never scheduled
Writing a post and saving it does not schedule it. It needs a publish date, and you need to tap Schedule.
Open the post, set the date and time, and tap Schedule. It should move to Scheduled.
3. Reconnect the account
The permission you granted when you connected an account does not last forever. Platforms expire it, and they also drop it if you change your password or remove the app from your account settings.
Go to Channels and look at the account. If it needs reconnecting, Vivreal will prompt you to authorise it again. Do that, then reschedule the post.
This is the single most common reason a post stops going out after months of working fine. Nothing changed on your end, the platform simply expired the permission.
4. Check the account type
Some platforms only allow posting from certain kinds of account:
- Instagram needs a Business or Creator account. A personal account cannot be posted to automatically.
- Facebook posts go to a Page, not to a personal profile.
If your account is the wrong type, converting it is done on the platform itself, and it is free.
5. Check the post itself
A few platform rules will stop a post:
- TikTok needs an actual video file. Vivreal handles the format for you, but there does need to be a video attached.
- Character limits vary by platform. A caption that fits on LinkedIn may be too long for X.
- Missing image where the platform requires one.
6. Check the time zone
Scheduled times use a single time zone consistently. If your post went out three hours early or late, this is usually why. Check what the calendar shows against your own clock before assuming it failed.
Still stuck
The Audit Log records channel activity, so you can confirm whether Vivreal tried to send the post at all. If it tried and the platform refused, that is a platform-side problem, and reconnecting the account is nearly always the fix.
