Connect X
Connecting X (formerly Twitter) lets you write, schedule and publish posts from Vivreal, and check how each one did.
1. Open the X channel
In Vivreal, go to Channels and tap X.
2. Sign in to X
Tap Connect. Vivreal sends you to X to sign in and approve the connection. You are approving Vivreal, so we never see your X password.
3. Come back to Vivreal
X sends you back to the Channels page and your account appears under Connected. You can post right away.
4. Set your default hashtags, if you want any
Open the Settings tab. Default Hashtags is a set of hashtags added to the end of every post you publish from Vivreal. Separate them with spaces, and leave it blank if you would rather add them per post.
Worth remembering that hashtags count towards your 280 characters.
What you get once it is connected
The X channel has three tabs.

Posting
From the Posts tab, tap the + button.

Leave the publish date blank to post immediately, or set a future date and time to schedule it. Scheduled posts go out on their own.
Photos and video cannot be mixed
X does not accept a post with both photos and a video. Vivreal tells you before you publish and holds the button, rather than sending it and letting X bounce it back. Pick one or the other.
Seeing how a post did
X has no overall Analytics tab in Vivreal, unlike Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
What you can see is per post. Open the Posts tab, tap the options button on any published post, and choose Analytics. You get likes, impressions, retweets, replies, quotes and bookmarks for that post.
Why some numbers are blank
If X does not return a particular number for a post, Vivreal leaves it blank rather than showing a zero. A real zero and a number we could not fetch mean very different things, and we will not dress one up as the other.
If something is not working
- The publish button will not turn on. Read the message under it. The usual causes are an empty post, going over 280 characters, or mixing photos with a video.
- A post did not go out. See Post did not go out.
- You want to stop. Settings, then Disconnect. Your posts stay in Vivreal, and nothing is removed from X.
